The Crucible
All i can say is DDRRAAMMA! haha i really loved the story, it was superb. I liked the whole concept of the story. It was much easier to read than Scarlet lette, but wasnt as exciting as it thought. Out of all the characters i hated Abigal. She was the main cause of the horrific utter and ignorant crap that went on in the book. She made everyones life a living hell, literally. She did all of this just because she wanted proctor and his good lovin. As for the rest John was a cheater but heoric, elizabeth held a grudge towards her husband for cheating, this led them apart. i really wish abigal could have gotten hung instead of all the innocent people who died because of her nonsense. The play was basically a metaphor to McCarthyism.

JOURNAL ENTRY
Yes i do think that Orwell is a coward because he allowed people to influence his decisions.
instead of doing what he desired he did what was expected of him. he wasnt liked anyways
so he shouldnt have cared what people thought of him. he isnt a racist . even though the burma ppl judged him.
WRITING WORKSHOP
As i can remember, there was this one time when i found out my friend was gay. I accepted her just because she was my friend and i didnt want to judge her. Even though i did this, it went against my personal beliefs.
My personal belief is that homosexuality is wrong. But on the contrer i think that love doesnt have a direct destination and you cant help who you fall in love with. So when my friend brought me the news i was kind of torn between my two beliefs.
As a result of my uncertainy, i just went along wioth her decision.I also didnt want to seem prejudice or judgemental. A person cant force their ideas on other people just because they think its right. People have to be considerate of peoples emotions and feelings

Maya Angelou JR
Yes, from time to time im "taught" extensive and irregular preps for adulthood. For example in school sometimes teach subjects that i know that i will not use in life. Or when my parent are lecturing and tell me that theyre tryin to ready me for the real world and the topic is something bizzare. Some of the "teachings" i do actually value if they are important and beneficial. The others, i respond with a sarcastic or dull expression and ignore whom ever is speaking

Scarlet Letter
This book was pretty awesome even though Hawthorne made it difficult to read, by using excessive elaboration and the old english language. Hawthorne's writing technique is very complex thus making his work more of a challenge to read and comprehend. But The story was influential and It obtained many themes which had various morals applying to life.
I was pretty confused in the beginning but as i read, i could understand the text more. I loved all the drama that the book had. It made the book interesting. As for the characters, i'll be starting off with Hester the Adultress.
What she did was pretty "slutty", excuse my language but its the cold truth. She had no business cheating on dusty old Chillingsworth, even if he was old and dusty. In the end she changed for the better. Now Chillngsworth i sympathize because no one deserves to be cheated on. Its hard to hate someone who is kind at heart, Even though he ws evil and sought vegeance, at various occassion in the story he did thoughtful, kind, an unexpected actions.
Dimmesdale is the true sinner. Evn though they all committed sin his was the biggest. Besides his fornication and lies, i think his biggest sin was dishonoring God. He was a reverend, a minister, whom are designed by god to preach the gospel and be a positive role model. Theyre like the most influencial in a persons life and should not lead them astray from god but closer to him.Dimmesdale did the very oppositive of his job, in result defying god.
Pearl i think was influential also. In some way she made her mother who she was and inspired her to be a better person. She gave her mother many troubles but that was just burden for Hester to bear as her consequence for sin.

4.That to think consistency no one will go anywhere with just that one thought; No because in life there is no consistency things changing
5. Emerson wants people to believe more in themselves than the divine. A persons vital role in life is to make a difference and you cant do that following someone else's belief
6" To be great is to be misunderstood" ... i choose this particular saying because Emerson is trying to note that all people who were wise were misunderstood. to be misunderstood is great and one doesnt need the approval of others
